Bereavement Puja

For the Deceased

Bereavement Puja

Buddhists believe that death is not the end of life, but a transition to our next life. Therefore, the time of death as important if not more important, than the time that one was alive.

Recitation of the holy Lama Chopa text creates a tremendous amount of positive energy and helps guide the deceased to a swift, good rebirth during this crucial transition. Ideally, it should be done within 49 days of the passing away of the deceased.

This puja can be done in combination with the Tsog ritual, which can only be performed by those with Higher Tantric initiation, and generates tremendous merits for the deceased.

Benefits:

  • Generates tremendous amount of merits
  • Guides the deceased to a good rebirth
