Yet more high resolution images of the various Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for you to download for FREE! Special feature on Lama Tsongkhapa, Vajrayogini and Setrap!

Yes, you can download and print high-resolution images of the Enlightened Beings, Buddhas and High Lamas absolutely free. Why are we doing this?

We realise that it can sometimes be difficult to find good quality, iconographically correct images of the various Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, especially in places where Dharma is not strong, or in remote areas. Therefore, we are very happy to be able to make this selection of images available to everyone to download at absolutely no charge. The images are high-resolution and of sufficient quality to be printed clearly on an A4 or A3 sheet of paper and framed for your altar or shrine.

This is our offering to you.

** Note that the high resolution files are large (up to 3Mb each) and will take some time to download.

Vajrayogini

Vajrayogini, is a representation of complete Buddhahood in female form, whose practices are associated with the Chakrasamvara Cycle of Anuttarayoga Tantra. The Kechara organisation is named after her pure land (Kechara Paradise) and all aspire to receive her initiation and do her practice. Making offerings to her holy image creates a connection with her, in the hope that we will be fortunate enough to receive her initiation in the future.

Although Vajrayogini’s practice requires initiation, a fervent Seeker of Dharma, Pablo Alder, who was entranced by Her mysteries, found this beautiful prayer on the Internet. One can recite this prayer to create a connection with Sacred Vajrayogini now, without initiation.

I am the diamond maiden, the player of games
The yogini is one of my forms
Showing that I am beyond earthly attachment
I am the shining revelation to the ascetic

The women in silk and roses
I am the harlot in black net and leather,
Who gives enjoyable punishmentI am the glass bead master, creating universes of form
And a spark of me is in each hand, for I dwell in karma.

I am the Trauma Goddess, the Lady of Pain
In return for devotion I pull thorns from the heart
In return for obedience
I untie the knots in the belly and the head (chakras)
I hold the vajra, which gives and receives
I reshape family karma

The Trauma Goddess is called for people in painful situations
Where anger and hatred block the path of the soul
I evaluate the benefits of revenge
And give better suggestions for spiritual growth.

I am not suited to polite society
To social striving, upward mobility, and making good impressions
I am radically honest, sensitive, brilliant, and blunt
I hold up a mirror to the best and worst facets of human life.

The Lady of Trauma is the mirror of pain
I reflect the disastrous ways that human beings interact
Then the reflections are stretched and distorted
With irony, and humour, and sadness
Loosening their grip on the heart
So that the person who seeks freedom
Can get a taste of being free.

(We fold our hands and entreat Her…)
“Lady of Trauma, Lady that absorbs pain
Ascetic and bhairavi and sannyasini and mistress
Pull me from the disaster that I have made of my life
Save me from the evil machinations of others.”

This is their prayer and I hear it in their hearts
As they chant my mantra.

“Saviour, Lady, Mother Goddess, Bodhisattva,
Love me as I love you
I am desperate and bound
Free me by your grace.”

I will give freedom, but not without realisation
Those who have been bound, bind others
Those who have suffered, cause suffering
I let them know how they have been affected
But also how they have affected others.

I do not wear bones because of death
I wear them because they represent what is beneath the surface
The blood that I drink is evil karma of those that I save
And the karma is then halted and does not pass to others.

I appear wrathful as I take on anger, hatred, fury, and the desire to destroy
Which are destroyed within me.
I am a dancer upon the pain of all mankind
I destroy the dark and corrupt.

My compassionate side is hidden
But for those whom I love
Who have taken on my dark grace
I open a path of shining light
With pain and sorrow left behind.

Vajrayogini, is a representation of complete Buddhahood in female form, whose practices are associated with the Chakrasamvara Cycle of Anuttarayoga Tantra.

She possesses supernatural powers and wisdom and has taught great Indian and Tibetian yogis. Vajrayogini appeared again and again to the Great Mahasiddha Naropa giving teachings. Naropa, after practicing these teachings attained perfect knowledge and wisdom.

The practice of Vajrayogini is only for the very fortunate and if practiced correctly can lead to Buddhahood in this very lifetime. She is the secret practice of Manjunatha Lama Tsongkapa himself.

This Naro Dakini, holds a vajra chopper in her right hand and a skull-cup upraised in the left. Resting in the crook of her left elbow is a khatvanga staff. Naked and adorned with a tiara of five human skulls, she wears a necklace of fifty dry skulls and is standing with her two feet placed on the bodies of her own emanations – the deities Kalarati and Bhairava.

These are not actual beings but emanated from her qualities and they represent contaminated desire, hatred and ignorance. Her trampling on them symbolizes by her practice we are able to destroy those negative qualities within us and transform ourselves into qualities that benefit others.

On a outer level, her trampling them represents she is able to control and pacify outer obstacles such as accidents, sudden death, negative forces, demons/spirits, and purify the results of our negative actions of the past.

She looks up to the pure realm of Kechara and drinks from the skull-cup held aloft in her left hand. Her looking upwards represents her great capacity that in this life she is able to help us create the circumstances for us to be taken to Kechara Paradise, her divine realm, where even the word suffering does not exist.

She is supremely excellent in many facets of pacification of problems in this life. Increase of merits, wealth, attainments, and general harmony. Her glorious red body is symbolic of her ability to control our mind that creates unhappiness knowingly and unknowingly.

She in her completeness also skillfully benefits practitioners through wrath. When all else fails, she uses wrathful means to subdue inner and outer creations to facilitate all that is necessary to pacify chronic negative results of previous karmic actions.

There are many prerequisites which must be completed before anyone can enter this practice including the compulsory initiation from a qualified Vajrayana Lama. The practice starts with Refuge in the Three Jewels, Guru Devotion, and knowing all the Three Principle Aspects of the path within the three scopes.

Then the fortunate one must receive the tantric initiation of the mandala of either Chakrasamvara, Guhyasamaja or Vajrabhaivara. After meeting these requirements the practitioner is qualified to enter the Mandala of Vajrayogini. Buddhahood is then attainable within this very lifetime.

In Buddhism, Female energy holds a very high position and there is no greater love than that which is represented by mothers, who give swiftly and unconditionally whatever we need. Thus if we listen to our Lama (who represents our mothers), practice Vajrayogini teachings, we receive the love of mothers and supported by her ability to grant us wisdom, we are able to achieve freedom from Samsara within one lifetime.

It is highly beneficial for those initiated and not initiated to make a connection with this extremely potent Vajrayogini Buddha whose blessings become more and more powerful as times degenerate. We can have images of her in the form of statues, carvings, tsatsas, paintings, pictures, and pendants. It is helpful for us to see, think and be exposed to her. Each exposure plants seeds of enlightenment in our mindstream.

Her image pacifies our room or home, clears negative energy and protects from negative interferences. Feng shui that may not be correct in our home, can be corrected by placing a holy image of her. The larger the image, the better, as we will want to make offerings onto her holy body.

Those who have the great fortune to come upon her, be fascinated and even read about her make a connection or even reconnect with her. Her practice is highly recommended as it is efficient, condensed, ’simple’ yet complete and for easily distracted people who ‘profess’ a lack of time, she is perfect.

With perfect motivation, understanding of her profound qualities, clean samaya with our spiritual mentors, and faith in Vajrayogini we are entering into the doorsteps of a vajra palace that leaves inner, outer and secret pains behind.

Praise to Vajrayogini who leads us to Kechara Paradise.

Buddha Shakyamuni himself manifested in the form of Heruka Chakrasamvara to subdue the God Ishvara for the benefit of all beings. Therefore he is considered the source of this high tantra.

With a majestic light-body of dazzling dark blue radiance, Heruka embodies the great bliss of inner transformation, the liberation from ignorance.

By him, the polluted rivers of delusion are transformed into holy waters that run to the sea of surrender. He has four faces, twelve arms, and is in union with his consort, Vajrayogini.

Attaining the state of Buddha Heruka depends upon abandoning the twelve dependent-related links of samsara by gaining the realizations of the four doors of liberation; symbolized respectively by Heruka’s twelve arms and his four faces.

Together with his consort, Vajrayogini, he ultimately represents the union of wisdom and compassion, or Emptiness and Bliss, which leads directly to the Enlightened mind. Heruka’s practice has led many women and men to full awakening within a single lifetime.

As a tantric Buddha, Heruka uses energies such as attachment, anger, desire, hatred as a means to achieving Enlightenment instead of suppressing them. He helps us to redirect our negative energies into something beneficial.

Although he is fully engaged in what appears to be negative, destructive or desirous, everything he does is entirely motivated by his unceasing compassion for sentient beings.

Heruka’s practice is one of the highest tantras in Buddhism and is unique because it is the only Tantra whose effectiveness increases as the times degenerate further. Therefore we are extremely fortunate if we can make a connection with Heruka Chakrasamvara especially in the current Kaliyuga age.

The birth of Tibet’s immortal yogi and saint Lama Tsongkhapa had been prophesised by Buddha Shakyamuni.

The Buddhas of Wisdom, Compassion and Skilful Means (Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara, Vajrapani) incarnated in this divine child.

By his genius, his example of perfect balance of study and practice, his utter humility and boundless energy, he restored the holy Buddhadharma to its original purity and caused it to spread like a wildfire all over Tibet, Mongolia, China and India.

Already practising the most profound tantric methods as a five-year-old, having been given his ordination vows by H.H. the 4th Karmapa, Je Tsongkhapa went on to study at the feet of no less than forty-five Gurus of all existing traditions.

After an eight-year retreat, eating only one seed of a tree per day and offering 3.5 million prostrations and 1.5 million mandalas, many deities appeard to him directly and he remained in constant communion with Lord Manjushri for the rest of his life.

Vajrayogini advised him to use the colour yellow for his teaching hat and the lineage that originated with him, the Gelugpa school, has often been called “Yellow-Hat School’ for that reason.

Lord Tsongkhapa founded the three main monasteries of Gaden, Drepung and Sera whose many attained Masters uphold his enlightened tradition and share it with the world. He is the author of many texts unsurpassed to this day in depth and clarity, most famously his work “The Stages on the Path to Enlightenment”.

Hailed as the second Buddha by contemporary Buddhist masters of his time, Lama Tsongkhapa comes from the mystical land of snows, Tibet. He is an incomparable pure monk, scholar and great teacher to thousands then and millions now.

This simple monk has become a limitless treasure trove of love, wisdom and compassion. He is an ideal spiritual inspiration for everyone throughout the ages.

Some look upon him for simple career advancement and some for a guide on a spiritual path. It simply doesn’t matter, as Lama Tsongkhapa grants wealth, business and career to the practical minded. He thus allows us to look deeper into spirituality with minds freer off mundane matters.

Having Lama Tsongkhapa’s image has the immense benefit of harmonizing the energy wherever his image is placed. A direct result of having him in your home would be stabilizing wealth and happiness. Essentials of food, money, shelter and clothing will cease to be a problem.

Lama Tsongkhapa’s image is well known to have a calming effect on aggressive minds and those with destructive emotions. Making offerings to him and doing his meditations and practice allow us to cultivate the inner qualities of wisdom, compassion and inner strength.

This practice’s other benefits are destroying all problems and obstacles. This is displayed with the flaming sword of wisdom on a lotus on his right. The Book of Dharma on the left lotus indicates by taking refuge in him, one can attain the higher wisdom of achieving true inner peace, tranquility and ultimately, Enlightenment.

Je Tsongkhapa’s Guru Yoga meditation (Gaden Lhagyama) is open to all, easy and pleasant to do, yet infinitely profound. Healing of depression, restlessness and sickness, protection from negative energies, enhancement of intelligence and clarity, deep joy and peace are experienced by those who practice it.

His spiritual energy in the form of sound that helps to transform the mind (Mantra), called Migtsema:

MIG-MEY TZE-WEY TER-CHEN CHENREZIG
DRI-MEY KHYEN-PI WANG-PO JAMPAL YANG
DU-PUNG MA-LU JOM-DZEY SANG-WEY DAG
GANG-CHEN KE-PEY TSUG-GYEN TSONGKHAPA
LO-SANG TRAG-PEY SHAB-LA SOL-WA DEB
